Join others at the library for a fun game of SCRABBLE!  The board game can be found in one of every three American homes and the National SCRABBLE Association (N.S.A.)  sanctions more than 175 Scrabble tournaments and more than 200 clubs in the U.S. and Canada every year.

Needed: a volunteer to conduct Scrabble Game Night any night that works for you!

When was the last time you could discuss your thoughts openly and honestly with others? Have you ever questioned society and its assumptions? Join us for a good, intelligent discussion over a cup of coffee at Socrates Café  

(NEEDED:  A VOLUNTEER TO MODERATE THIS GROUP -- CALL DELENE 903-763-4191)

 

Planned discussion topics include:

♥  How has the Internet helped/harmed our society?  ♥   Are we losing the art of conversation?  ♥   How are teenagers today different than those of the 1950 - 60s, 70 - 80s, etc...?  ♥  Does technology need to back up and embrace former methods?  ♥  Is civility obsolete?  ♥   Does humanity have a better understanding of reality today than in the past?    ♥    What in our culture must be preserved?  ♥
